Home In The Woods Scents, LLC is a small, independently owned, home-based candle company founded in 2021 in the quiet Mississippi city of Itta Bena — a place affectionately known as "Home in the Woods."

The idea was born from a season of stillness. When the world shifted after 2020, daily life — and mental well-being — changed dramatically. Managing the challenges of Lupus, a diagnosis received in 2009, became even harder without the ability to connect with loved ones. In that season of isolation, candles and DIY projects became a source of peace, creativity, and healing.

What began as a personal outlet soon grew into a calling. With faith, determination, and a God-given vision, Home In The Woods Scents took shape — built on love, encouragement, and the belief that fragrance has the power to support both mental and physical wellness.

Every collection is handcrafted with care using eco-friendly, vegan-friendly ingredients. Our candles and melts are made with 100% natural plant-based waxes — including soy, palm, and coconut. Each fragrance is thoughtfully selected, and every candle is hand poured to ensure the highest quality.
